Geospatial Capabilities in the Natural Disaster Season

The Geospatial team can provide insights during the natural disaster season, as well as other national emergencies. Our agency has over 70 office locations around Australia, we have access to some information of active national emergencies.

It must be understood, we have only a certain capacity to provide these services due to resource availability. However, our staff have some experience in searching for data and making mapping products for national emergency events.

Emergency Data we can source

  • Daily bushfire warnings, most states

  • Flood Areas, depending on the state/situation, with a few days of event.

  • Cyclone and weather information, depending on the state.

Examples of Map Products

Demonstrating impact in a local or regional area.

Demonstrating the impact on active grant funding areas.

Demonstrating the impact of Cyclone Season in the regional areas.

  • Demonstrating the impact on food security.
