Overview


Insert standard guidance on PDMS  


1. How do I get Access to PDMS?


All staff on the Protected network have basic PDMS access.

Staff working on the Official network will need obtain Protected network access in order to access PDMS. Contact PDMS@pmc.gov.au


2. Where do I find briefing templates?


When creating a new funding brief record (PDR) in PDMS, you will be prompted to select the appropriate template sub-type (see Creating a funding brief in PDMS). 


Once the PDR has been created, the template will be loaded. Templates are not available outside of PDMS.


3. How do I access Attachments in PDMS?


See “Adding IAS Funding Brief Attachments” in Creating a funding brief in PDMS


4. I have created a new PDR in PDMS, but can’t see the briefing template and/or attachments. Why?


If the PDR has not been created as a funding brief (see Creating a funding brief in PDMS), brief and attachment templates will not be available.


1. Open your PDR and click on the Details icon

2. Click on the edit icon

3. Go to the Templates fields and check to see that the correct template type has been selected. Note: Brief is the wrong template sub-type for funding briefs.


4. If the wrong template sub-type has not been selected, click on the symbol to open the menu list. Select a funding brief template type.



5. How do I change a briefing type in PDMS?


See steps above.


6. How do I assign a brief to Grants Policy in PDMS?


In the Action Panel set the options to the following 

  1. Action Type: Assign
  2. Assignment Type: Unit Coordination
  3. Assignee: Grants Policy


7. What type of briefs have to be processed via the CBP?


All funding briefs, i.e. briefs requesting a delegate to approve new funding for either new or existing grants must be processed via the CBP, including: 

 

  • New grant opportunities, i.e. a new grant program. 
  • Agency Collaborates (Non-Competitive and Competitive). 
  • Direct Approach. 
  • Variations to grant agreements that are seeking to increase funding for the activity. 
  • Novations of existing grant agreement to new grantee. 
  • Aboriginal Benefits Account (ABA) Directions to Debit Account.
